Post Wishlist Item -- Disable badblocks propagation to new drive
Would it be possible, when copying an ntfs partition from a failing drive to a new drive or to a backup medium, to reset the $Badclust file so that the bad cluster information does not get propagated to a location where it's really obsolete -- after all it's referring to sector locations on a drive that won't be used again?

Thanks for the great tools...

The option -b has been added to ntfsfix to clear the list of bad sectors in the advanced ntfs-3g versions from 2011.4.12AR.4. See http://www.tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g-advanced/
