Post Symbloc links made for child directory to its parent
I have mounted one of the windows drive in Ubuntu Linux with the following command

Code:
ntfs-3g -o ro,force,noatime,streams_interface='windows'  /dev/sda1 /mnt/windows

when I visit the /mnt/windows I found some the Windows directories were pointed to other windows directorie's parent levels.
for instance ProgramData\Application Data is linked to ProgramData
where ProgramData and Application Data are two individual directories not link folders in windows.

I suspect this could be mount options i am missing to achieve dereference.

Rajesh JVLN

This is the correct behavior which was defined by Microsoft. More information and explanation is at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb756982.aspx
