 Unable to copy large files
I am using FreeBSD 7.0. Tested both package (1.100) and v1.2506.
When trying to copy a 14GB file from NTFS to UFS2 filesystem, it always stops at 1716138385, about 1.6 GB. However I can copy 3 GB and 4 GB sized files without problems.
Tried FreeBSD 6.3, FreeBSD 6.2, even different HD models: same issue.
No error messages in /var/log/messages. Debug option does not report problems I think.
Suggestions? Thank you.

Thanks. It's reported to the FreeBSD gurus.

copying large files from ntfs partition mounted with ntfs-3g
I am using a laptop with a multiboot configuration. An external USB hard disk partition 1 created and formatted unde Windows Vista, and I copied into that partition several DVD iso image files. I wrote some of them to DVD on VISTA, but later I tried to burn DVD-s from these image on FreeBSD-7.1-PRERELEASE. I can only copy the first 386MB of these images when using FreeBSD and mounting the external disk with the ntfs-3g driver. If I mount it with the built-in (read-only) ntfs support then I can read, copy, burn on DVD etc. those files.

Re: Unable to copy large files
Got the same problem/ Seems to be it is endianess issue on amd64 architecture: dd copies first 405301490 bytes from file 4700268786 bytes length. (4700268786 - 405301490) == 1<<32
Tried 2009.4.1 with no luck.
Is there any progress since june 2008?

Re: Unable to copy large files
This is known/fixed: http://mercurial.creo.hu/repos/fuse4bsd ... 862286739eIt just haven't yet found its way to ports. I will ping the port maintainer, in the meantime please apply the fix manually from the HG repo.
