Post unmounting before shutdown
With the latest version of the bsd distros and ntfs-3g driver, is it necessary to manually unmount ntfs drives under unix before a shutdown?

I guess what im asking if its automatic. I was reading some outdated posts here talking about this.

Hi,

It depends on the distribution you use. The driver integration is out of scope for the project unless the OS developer needs explicit driver support.
