Slow Mac - related to Tuxera NTFS?
Hello.
I'm using
Tuxera 2013.2 on
Mavericks 10.9.2.
Since updating from SnowLeopard to Mavericks i have problems with a quit slow Mac now.
When i
asked for support in the official apple support forum i got this answer:
Quote:
3. The kernel extensions may be screwing things up. This is the second post I’ve seen this morning with tuxera in it. These are modifying the kernel- the innermost innards of OSX- and probably not in a good way. If you can uninstall the apps that are responsible for these I would. They’re probably apps you can do without anyway.
4. Startup Items are also bad. Very bad. And there’s tuxera again. Apple recommended that developers stop using startup items back in 10.4.
So, is Tuxera NTFS not fully compatible with Mavericks because it is using outdated system functions like "startup items" which should not be used any more since MacOs 10.4?
