Re: ntfs-3g mounted base partition as problem for tuxonice?
The main point that has been undiscussed, so far, is: Why does in-kernel hibernate (suspend-to-disk) handle loop mounted files upon/from ntfs-3g mounted base partitions differently than TuxOnIce?!
As I haven't gotten any reply, I've added some lines to the tuxonice mailing lists:
tuxonice-devel@tuxonice.net, +tuxonice-users...:
--->
I've now retested hibernation with a loop mounted file from a ntfs-3g mounted base partition with a 3.16.3 with_TuxOnIce: doesn't work,
and without_TuxOnIce (with in-kernel suspend-to-disk): it works.
Loop mounting this file from an ext4 base partition works in both cases.
If you need more information, please, just ask.
I suspect, that I'm the only one affected.
