Thank you very much for your support. Now that I know what's wrong, I'll move with it to the Ubuntu bug reporting system.

Your partition is already mounted with the kernel NTFS driver. Type as root

umount /windows/C
mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/hda1 /windows/C

Edit your /etc/fstab file to make it permanent:

Hi everybody,I'm new in Linux and I have a similar problem when I updated from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10
I mounted as usual all my internal HD without problems but there is one than don't want to be mounted.
if I try to mount it answer:

ntfs-3g-mount: mount failed: Device or resource busy

Your device is already in use by something: LVM, device mapper, etc.
