Post i have a question about using ntfsresize in shell script
Hello,,, I have a question about using ntfsresize in shell script by being called in kernel...

in the kernel... I change some source and I use "call_usermodehelper " function to execute shell script,, and,, in this shell script

i put this line

echo -e "y\n" | ntfsresize -s[size] device location

also I try to do this

cat <<EOF |ntfsresize -f device location
y
EOF

both isn't working ..

however ,, If I execute this shell script on command line like " ./test.sh" It's working!!!

I wonder that why I can't use ntfsresize command when I call it from kernel.,, but I can use it when I call it from shell command line...

I really want to know and I should solve this problem...

Thank you for your time, and please let me know why and how can I solve it...

ntfsresize is probably using some feature not available in your situation. Is there any message in the syslog ?
