Post Not all ntfs paritions detected
i've got slax 6.0.9 on flashdrive and i'v got problems with access to my ntfs partitions on my hard drive, I have 4 dynamic partitions but slax is able to "see" only first two of them, what can i do to access other partitions? im quite a newbie in Linux.
gparted "sees" 2 volumes on my hdd first wich is xp system volum is seen correctly, but second is seen as a whole rest of the drive as if those 3 other volumes where merged. but when i access both of thoes volumes from /mnt volums (they are sda1 and sda2) they are looking just fine.

this is what came up when i analised my hardrive with testdisk:
TestDisk 6.9, Data Recovery Utility, February 2008

Disk /dev/sda - 250 GB / 232 GiB - CHS 30402 255 63

Partition Start End Size in sectors

1 * HPFS - NTFS 0 1 1 1355 254 63 21784077 [SYSTEM]
2 P HPFS - NTFS 1356 0 1 11037 254 63 155541330 [NOWY_E]
3 P HPFS - NTFS 11038 0 1 20719 254 63 155541330 [NOWY_F]
4 P HPFS - NTFS 20720 0 1 30400 254 63 155525265 [NOWY_G]

i could even explore partitions listed here as 3 and 4 but they are still unavilable through /mnt folder they should be listed in /dev directory as well (as sda3 and sda4) but only thig i can find there is sda1 and sda2

We don't detect NTFS partitions but drive them after a higher layer, like a distribution, discovered them: http://ntfs-3g.org/support.html#plugandplay
