Post ntfs file time stamps
I am building a file server and will host files from both Windows and Ubuntu linux machines. I would like to preserve file attribute and time stamp information for the Windows files. I started with a Ubuntu 8.04 server system though I have had problems making the ntfs volume preserve the time stamp information.

I know my version of ntfs-3g is not current, do I need an updated ntfs driver to preserve the file time stamps?

Your version is very old. NTFS-3G does preserve timestamps the same way as other file systems.

I have upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04, this includes a recent version of ntfs-3g. I will setup my raid with the ntfs filesystem and try again.
