Post Can the NTFS-3g package be used on an embedded ARM linux
Hello,

We have an embedded product which runs a Linux 3.2 kernel build with buildroot.
Can the NTFS-3g package be used on this platform?

I found with google a lead how to build ntfs-3g for linux 2.6 but is this still the same?
The 2.6 version was also using the fuse package from sourceforge. (is this still needed?

Are there any guidelines how to build this from scratch?

Regards
Marcel

Yes. This has been done by other users (but not by me).

Yes, you need the fuse library and the fuse kernel module. The latter implies your kernel was configured with CONFIG_FUSE_FS=m (or CONFIG_FUSE_FS=y)

On the platform itself, to get ntfs-3g and the internal fuse library, you would :
Code:
./configure
make
make install

Now, you probably need cross-compiling on another platform, and this implies defining the host and target environments as arguments to ./configure.
