Hi!

I want to use NTFS-3G for a USB device where there is continously data written to. Writing data to the stick should be transaction safe. - So that if the OS writes data to the stick and the user unplugs the stick at the same time, the worst thing that may happen should be that the currently written data is lost. Moreover the area where the data is written to should not defect after that. (old data lost etc.)

So how is journaling implemented in NTFS-3G by now. Is there a functionality similar to the option "data=journal". (Maybe data=ordered is sufficient)

Unlike database managers, most file systems (including ntfs on Windows) only apply journaling to metadata. User data are not journaled.
