Post lowntfs and streams
Hi!

We're using lowntfs (for the ignore_case option) but are also in need of reading the extended windows attributes with xattr. Any chance that the streams support will makes it way to lowntfs soon? Thanks.

Access to named streams, using xattr is available on lowntfs. Just mount with option user_xattr (which is a default option), and use commands getfattr(1)/setfattr(1) or system calls getxattr(2)/setxattr(2). There is an example in http://www.tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g ... ttributes/

On the contrary, access to the same named streams with a Windows-type interface, using the option "streams_interface=windows" is not possible because the named streams do not have the inode numbers needed for interfacing lowntfs with fuse.
