Post Opensuse Windows XP write problem
Hi!

I installed the newest opensuse. The NTFS (windows XP) drive is idiomatically mounted, and not with the ro option. But I still can not write to the NTFS disk. How can I solve these probelem?

kind regards

openSUSE by default uses the mount options "fmask=133,dmask=022" in /etc/fstab (at least for the partition where Windows is installed, maybe also for other fixed partitions, but not removable media), so only root can write there. Change this to "fmask=113,dmask=002" if you would like to make everything world-writable. Check the man page for more advanced options.
